American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant) position requiring ONS Chemotherapy Certification and a minimum of one year of MS and oncology experience.

Details

• Work in a mixed acuity PCU and Med/Surg BMT unit (14 & 15W) within a cancer hospital and research setting
• Patient population includes hematologic and oncologic diagnoses such as ALL, AML, CLL, CML, Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, Myelodysplastic Syndrome, Myeloproliferative Disorders, Aplastic Anemia, and Amyloidosis
• Specialized procedures include autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants, as well as CAR-T therapy
• Required skills include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC line and peripheral line management, CVAD/feeding tube care, and nasal cannula administration
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• If scheduled on a rotating day/night contract, shift assignments (days, nights, or a combination) are determined by departmental needs and reviewed every 4-week scheduling period

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS and ONS Chemotherapy Certification
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification required
• ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg and oncology experience required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to BMT patients undergoing stem cell transplants and CAR-T therapy
• A 30-day break between assignments is not required when changing representation at this facility (except for Sterile Processing Techs)
• All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
• A full 7-year work history with all employment gaps explained is required for consideration
