American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Direct Observation Unit (Telemetry) position requiring Epic EMR experience and prior Level 1 Trauma facility background.

Details

• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Medical Observation unit within a hospital setting
• 13-week contract assignment
• Epic EMR is used and experience is required

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience required
• Prior experience at a Level 1 Trauma facility required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Responsible for managing a patient caseload through the full nursing process, including initial assessments, plan of care development, and ongoing evaluation
• IV site assessment every 4 hours and IV insertion per facility policy are required unit-specific duties
• Accurate and up-to-date documentation is required, as evidenced by quarterly chart audits
• RTO is not to exceed 7 days for the duration of the 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the health system after reaching that threshold
