American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab/EP position in Kentucky, requiring a minimum of 2 years of unbroken Cath Lab experience and at least 1 year of travel nursing experience.

Details

• Work setting includes 2 Cath Labs, 1 EP Lab, and 1 Hybrid OR
• Adult patient population (ages 18 and older)
• 4-person team per case, consisting of RNs and Rad Techs; anesthesia staff utilized for select procedures
• Cardiac drips administered regularly
• Equipment includes Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump, Penumbra, Volcano, OCT, and Philips X-Ray system for Cath cases; Boston Scientific mapping system and Farapulse for EP cases; Medtronic heavy for devices and supplies
• EMR system is McKesson and Cupid; Epic experience preferred
• 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Rotating on-call shifts with a minimum 7 on / 7 off rotation; on-call hours are 5:30 PM – 7:00 AM Monday through Thursday and 24 hours Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (holiday schedule may vary)

Requirements

• Active RN license in Kentucky or a compact state license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; RCIS accepted in lieu of ACLS
• Minimum of 2 years of unbroken Cath Lab RN experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Must be able to respond to STEMI callbacks within 30 minutes
• Must pass a dysrhythmia/EKG exam
• Proof of address required for consideration (acceptable documents: Driver's License, Voter Registration Card, Federal Tax Return, Military Form 2058, or W2 from US government)
• Full SSN and date of birth (MM/DD) required for consideration
• 1 supervisory reference required
• Nursys license verification required
• Copy of certifications required

Additional Information

• Functions independently in both scrub and circulator roles
• Performs procedures including TAVR, transvenous/temporary pacing insertion and monitoring, intra-aortic balloon pump insertion, Impella insertion, and conscious sedation administration
• Conducts hemodynamic monitoring and advanced respiratory support
• Participates in on-call rotation for emergency and urgent procedures on evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Pass/fail EKG exam administered on the first day with 2 attempts allowed; study guides will be provided
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
