American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Med/Surg travel assignment at a Level I Trauma facility, requiring prior travel experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Acute care inpatient setting on a 32-bed Medical-Specialty unit (7CD)
• Adult medical/surgical patient population, including patients experiencing behavioral disturbances
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
• 12-hour Day/Night rotation; scheduling is based on unit needs and may vary cycle to cycle
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Equipment includes telemetry, Philips monitors, bladder scanner, Acuivein, and Omnicell
• Floating required to any Med/Surg unit across all 3 campuses in Fargo as needed
• All rooms are private with individual bathrooms and patient mobility equipment
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active ND or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in a large hospital (250+ beds)
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; candidates currently on their first travel assignment will not be considered
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor in the same specialty within the last 3 years
• Skills checklist required for consideration

Additional Information

• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team including physicians to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Candidates living between 60 and 80 miles from the facility may be subject to a reduced travel pay rate
• Candidates with previous employment at any Sanford Health location must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their application date
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates must badge in and out at the facility
• A manager interview will be conducted prior to any offer being extended
