American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular OR Surgical Tech (CST) for a CVOR position requiring NBSTSA or NCCT certification and a minimum of 5 years of experience.

Details

• Works in a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) setting within a hospital environment
• Performs cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures
• Day shift schedule: 5x8s, 6:00 AM–3:00 PM, Monday–Friday
• On-call responsibilities required, with call shared among 3 CSTs from 3:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• One on-call weekend per month required
• Holiday and off-shift call coverage required
• 13-week contract with the possibility of extension to 26 weeks

Requirements

• Active LA or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification required
• Must be a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Minimum 5 years of CVOR/surgical tech experience strongly preferred
• Prior travel experience preferred
• Must be able to tolerate physically and mentally demanding work
• Valid driver's license (DL) and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include scrub functions such as pulling necessary supplies and instrumentation, and setting up the sterile field
• Assists in the setup of the TCVOR room in collaboration with the full CVOR team
• Responsible for ensuring sterile procedures are followed, required equipment is available, and patient safety is maintained at all times
• Performs a wide variety of professional services in surgical procedures related to cardiac, vascular, and thoracic care
