American Traveler is hiring a PA-licensed LPN for a 6-week evening shift assignment at a skilled nursing/long-term care facility with a minimum of 1 year of experience required.

Details

• Long-term care / skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting serving a geriatric resident population
• Evening shift scheduled from 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• 6-week contract assignment
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Current and active PA LPN license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience required
• LTC or SNF experience preferred given patient population
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist, and turn frequently throughout an 8-hour shift
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs to assist with resident lifts and transfers
• Ability to push a medication cart during medication distribution rounds
• Ability to react quickly and decisively in emergency situations
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration — confirm with your recruiter

Additional Information

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of medical and nursing care provided to residents
• Transcribe and carry out physician orders and assist during physician visits
• Delegate and supervise daily resident care duties assigned to Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides
• Participate in resident care planning and evaluate residents' physical and psychological needs
• Assist with admissions and discharges of residents as needed
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident, family, and personnel information in compliance with facility policies
