Description

American Traveler is seeking a compassionate and team-oriented RN for a Medical-Surgical position requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Medical-Surgical unit (2W) of an acute care hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Weekend requirement: must be available for 4 of 8 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (Friday and Saturday nights)
• Floating required to unit 3W and other units as needed

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• PALS, ACLS, and CPI certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• The facility conducts its own drug screening upon arrival, which includes marijuana — a positive result is an automatic cancellation with no exceptions; candidates should avoid any substances that could produce a positive result, including CBD products
• Located in Kerrville, TX — known as Texas wine country, approximately 1 hour from San Antonio
