Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital in Washington, DC, requiring an active DC RN license and a minimum of 2 years of OR experience.

Details

• Work setting is a Level I Trauma, teaching hospital with 228 staffed beds
• Assignment is in the Operating Room with 9 rooms
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No floating between units required
• On-call is required: 2 night calls and 3 weekend calls per month; weeknight call hours are 11 PM–7 AM, weekend call shifts are 7 AM–3 PM, 3–11 PM, or 11 PM–7 AM
• Charting system: SIS

Requirements

• Active DC RN license currently in hand is required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Every other holiday coverage is required
• Block scheduling is not available
• Parking is the responsibility of the traveler; options include metered street parking ($2.00/hour), or hospital parking available at $3.50/day, $17.25/week, or $69/month
• The facility is accessible via DC Metro (Shaw/Howard University stop on the Green and Yellow lines) and multiple bus routes (70, 71, 90, 92, 96)
