American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital in Illinois, requiring ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications with prior urban ED experience.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital setting in Illinois
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating to other units required
• Epic EMR used
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license required — pending licensure is not accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Preferred certifications: TNCC and CPI
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Prior experience in an urban, Level I Trauma ED required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
