American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cath Lab position requiring a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience and an active Oregon RN license.

• Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab setting within a children's hospital
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00–17:30
• Fast-paced procedural environment with competing priorities and high patient turnover
• Procedures involve moderate/conscious sedation administration and recovery, anesthesia recovery, and arterial/venous femoral access/sheath management
• Safe chemotherapy precautions are part of routine practice
• Epic EMR experience required
• Floating to a nearby affiliate hospital may be required; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate; no radius restriction

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered Oregon RN license required
• BSN from a program accredited by CCNE, ACEN, or CNEA required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care or comparable experience (e.g., PACU, ED) required
• Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network branch of AHA required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Ability to stand up to 4 hours without sitting and tolerate movement throughout the entire shift
• Ability to wear protective lead aprons for extended periods
• Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required — Charge RN references are not acceptable
• Proof of COVID vaccination required — no exemptions accepted
• Fluency in written and oral English required

Additional Information

• Candidates who are former employees or previous travelers at this health system must have a reference completed by the OHSU manager who supervised them
• Must be absent from this health system for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and may not exceed 2 weeks
