American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and proficiency with cardiac drips and dysrhythmia management.

Details

• Work in a Cardiac Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes those requiring telemetry monitoring for chest pain, arrhythmias, pacemaker/defibrillator management, and heart failure
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Must be comfortable managing cardiac drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Amiodarone, Lasix, and Heparin
• Night shift: 18:45–07:15 (3x12-hour shifts), with 36 or 48 hours per week supported
• 4 weekend days required per 6-week scheduling period
• Floating required to other telemetry units
• EMR: Epic (with Pyxis and SBAR communication framework in use)
• 13-week contract with potential to extend beyond 13 weeks

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of dysrhythmias required
• Experience with cardiac GTT and cardiac drip management required

Additional Information

• Must pass an EKG competency test prior to start
• 36 hours of unit orientation provided
• Collaborates with a heart failure navigator as part of the care team
• Navy scrubs required; not provided by the facility
• No RTO (time off) is permitted after booking and cannot be arranged onsite — call-offs or additional RTO may result in contract cancellation
