American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting at a Level I Trauma Center
• Medical Surgical unit with a team nursing model; patient ratios are approximately 1:7 with support from PCCs, LPNs, and other staff
• Day shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend shifts required as needed; a weekend block schedule may be considered and must be discussed during the interview
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in Tennessee or a valid Compact (NLC) RN license currently in hand — no pending licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required; 3+ years preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers will not be considered
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• ADN or higher required for this position
• Driver's License required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — locals are not accepted
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront and will not be approved if not included at the time of initial consideration
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment period, the candidate must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return
• Vaccination documentation must be included with your profile
• Block scheduling is not available, though a weekend block may be considered if discussed during the interview
