American Traveler is hiring a travel LPN with inpatient rehab or Med/Surg experience and a minimum of 13 weeks of Epic experience for a 13-week day shift assignment at an acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Madison, WI.

Details

• 50-bed free-standing acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital located in Madison, WI
• Inpatient rehabilitation unit serving adults with high-acuity needs including stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries
• Approximately 70% of patient cases are referred from a Trauma Center
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• 12-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• On-call requirements apply
• EMR: Epic (minimum 13 weeks of experience required)
• Equipment includes ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, slide boards, vital machines, EKG machine, BGM, and computers for charting

Requirements

• Current WI LPN license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment
• Inpatient rehab or Med/Surg experience strongly preferred
• Minimum 13 weeks of Epic experience required
• Current BLS certification required (RQI certifications are not accepted)
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• The unit can reach high acuity levels and functions similarly to a Med/Surg unit; all nurses are expected to assist CNAs and respond to call lights for patient safety
• The facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF-accredited for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program
• Floating is not currently required, though candidates may be asked to float to a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes in the future
• Mandatory 30-minute unpaid break per shift, plus two paid 15-minute breaks for 12-hour shifts
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Local candidates are not accepted
