American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ER Holding Unit position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and certifications including BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS.

• Work in the ER Holding Unit of a large academic medical center
• Patient population spans all age groups: pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Key clinical skills include telemetry and dysrhythmia management, PCU/stepdown care, IV insulin and heparin protocols, renal failure management, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, blood product administration, tracheostomy management, wound care/wound vac, and non-invasive airway management (CPAP/BiPAP, oxygen)
• Epic EMR used for documentation
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia management, and PCU/stepdown care
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Experience with vasoactive and cardiac drip titration, IV insulin/heparin protocols, and blood product administration
• Tracheostomy management and non-invasive airway management (CPAP/BiPAP) experience required
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

• Provide acute holding care to a diverse patient population across all age groups in an ER setting
• All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial application
• No 30-day break between assignments is required when changing representation at this facility (except for Sterile Processing Techs)
