American Traveler is seeking a highly proficient RN Educator for a Family Birthplace / OR position in Pittsfield, MA, with a focus on educating OR circulation for C-sections and a strong L&D background.

Details

• Family Birthplace Unit in a hospital setting, with a focus on OR circulation education for C-sections
• Educator role requires high proficiency in L&D circulating and C-section procedures
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 36 or 48 hours per week available — note shift preference on profile
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• Meditech Expanse EMR — experience strongly preferred

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Active AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NRP certifications — all must be in hand at time of consideration; facility will not pend upon offer
• Minimum 3 years of current RN Educator experience in the perinatal field required
• Experience educating OR circulation for C-sections required
• BSN or higher degree required
• Straight L&D RNs without OR circulation/C-section experience will not be considered
• Personal vehicle required for this assignment
• COVID vaccination (dose date on or after 10/3/2023) required — exemption requests are available but require provider or religious leader signatures
• 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Primary responsibility is educating RNs on OR circulation techniques for C-sections within the Family Birthplace Unit
• Candidates approved for a COVID vaccine exemption will be required to wear a mask at all times while on site
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application — RTO requests will not be approved after submission, and no more than 3 days of RTO will be accepted
• Two specific interview dates and times of availability must be provided — 'anytime' will not be accepted
