American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg - Oncology position in Sioux City, IA, requiring 2+ years of experience and proficiency with high-acuity drip administration.

Details

• Day shift position, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Med/Surg Oncology unit in a hospital setting
• High-acuity patient population requiring drip management including Heparin, PCA, and epidural; chemotherapy administration for certified candidates
• Every other weekend required, including holiday rotation if scheduled
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within the same discipline across local campuses may be required
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS (may be obtained prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg and/or Oncology nursing experience required
• Experience administering Heparin, PCA, and epidural drips required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• High-acuity care experience preferred
• Supervisory reference from within 2 years of employment required for consideration
• Valid Driver's License required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

• Contribute clinical knowledge and skills as part of an interdisciplinary team in the management and provision of patient care
• Travelers who have been employed by the client within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
• Holiday coverage requires working 2 of 3 winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's
