American Traveler is seeking an experienced Allergy RN for a 6-week outpatient clinic assignment in Avon, CO, requiring an active CO or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of applicable patient care experience.

Details

• Outpatient allergy clinic setting in Avon, CO
• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts per week
• Cares for patients across all age groups, from neonatal/infant through geriatric
• Responsibilities include administering allergy injections, monitoring patients post-injection, performing venipunctures, initiating IV therapy, and obtaining vital signs
• Documents patient history, procedures, and plan of care in an Electronic Health Record (EHR)

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or valid compact state RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of applicable patient care and administrative experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, medical equipment, HIPAA compliance, and OSHA regulations
• Ability to sit for approximately 50% of the shift, stand for 35%, and walk for 10%; must be able to lift up to 35 lbs occasionally

Additional Information

• Administer allergy injections and ensure patients complete required post-injection observation periods
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and take appropriate action, including notifying the provider when necessary
• Learn and perform immunotherapy vial mixing procedures
• Deliver patient education to support the plan of care and promote optimal wellness
• Coordinate patient care across disciplines and facilitate effective teamwork with clinical support staff
• Oversee daily patient flow to optimize safety and satisfaction
• Maintain examination and immunotherapy room cleanliness, supply stock, and equipment functionality
• Must be HIPAA compliant
