Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Acute Med/Surg Telemetry position in Alamogordo, NM, requiring a NM or compact RN license and at least 1 year of relevant nursing experience.

Details

• Acute Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Floating required to BMed, Ortho, and PCU units

Requirements

• Active RN license in New Mexico or a compact state required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty
• BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the full nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assesses patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education
• A US Social Security Number is required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
