American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry (Ortho Unit) position requiring a Maryland or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of experience, with night shifts and every-other-weekend availability.

Details

• Work in a 26-bed (20-room) Med/Surg Telemetry Orthopedics unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes orthopedic (joint replacements, fracture repairs), spine (ACDF, fusions, decompressions), and general Med/Surg diagnoses
• Specialized equipment includes PCA pumps, Buck's traction, overbed trapeze, SCD sleeves/pumps, foot pumps, Hoyer lift, incentive spirometry, Sara Stedy (sit-to-stand), and walkers
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend is required
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Floating required within the specialty and to lower acuity units as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license for the state of Maryland (MD) or a compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Orthopedic and/or spine nursing experience strongly preferred
