American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and proficiency with telemetry monitoring, with night shift availability and floating responsibilities.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a (3x12-hour shifts)
• Patient care involves telemetry monitoring, pacemaker management, IV insulin protocols, and continuous bladder irrigation (CBI)
• Charting via Epic EMR
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities within a 75-mile radius
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

Requirements

• Active OK RN license or Compact RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and EKG/Telemetry course (all must be obtained prior to start date)
• Experience with pacemakers, IV insulin protocols, and continuous bladder irrigation (CBI)
• Epic EMR experience
• Valid driver's license or state-issued ID and a utility bill in the candidate's name with a matching address from within the last 3 months required for consideration
• 2 supervisory references required for consideration
• Copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from this health system for at least 1 year to be eligible
• RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer per 13-week assignment; no holiday or blackout date RTO requests will be accepted
• 12-week contract length
