American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Massachusetts, requiring a permanent MA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital emergency department with a psych holding area on the unit
• Floating is required between two campuses (Leominster and Clinton)
• Patient ratio is 1:5
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Scheduling is based on unit needs; block schedules cannot be accommodated
• Shift start times may flex up to 4 hours earlier or later than scheduled based on critical department need
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Charting is done in Epic

Requirements

• Permanent MA RN license required (not a temporary or interim license)
• Active certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
• Must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to qualify for this position
• Candidates must have a clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions
• 2 professional references required, at least one of which must be from a Nurse Manager or higher
• Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG test

Additional Information

• Experience with psych holding patients is beneficial given the unit's psych holding area
• Well-rounded ED nursing skills are expected given the diverse patient population
