Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring 3+ years of OR/CVOR experience, scrub experience for open CVOR cases and TAVR, and an active NJ or Compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting
• Patient mix includes adult open heart surgery, CABG, and valve procedures (aortic, mitral, and pulmonic)
• Required knowledge of devices including Impella, HeartMate, ECMO, laser lead extractions, and TAVR
• Charting performed in Epic
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:00–06:30
• No block schedule
• On-call requirement of 32 hours per month
• Floating to the Main OR required when no CVOR cases are scheduled
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 3 years of CVOR or relevant OR experience required
• Scrub experience for open CVOR cases and TAVR required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered, though experience is highly preferred
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• Former RWJBH employees (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• Candidates with open or active background/license hits will not be considered
