American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medicine Specialty Unit (Med/Surg Tele) position requiring at least 1 year of travel experience and Med/Surg or Stepdown background, working night shifts at a Level I facility.

Details

• Position is located in a hospital Medicine Specialty Unit (Med/Surg Tele)
• Night shift schedule, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts (36 hrs/week)
• Med/Surg and Stepdown patient population
• Level I facility experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma state license or eNLC compact license) required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — all certifications must be AHA-issued
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Med/Surg and Stepdown experience required
• Level I facility experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex under general supervision
• Responsibilities include patient assessment, IV management, medication administration, monitoring physiological data, and coordinating with physicians and support staff
• Delegates tasks to support staff and makes referrals to appropriate personnel based on patient care needs
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for a new contract; extensions are limited to one time, for a maximum of 26 consecutive weeks
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon offer acceptance — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
• BSN or higher degree is preferred but not required
