Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down Float Pool position at a major academic medical center in Cleveland, OH, requiring at least 18 months of step-down experience and an OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Step-down float pool unit within a large academic hospital setting, with potential to float to other step-down units and the ED for the same patient population
• Day/night rotating shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Shift preferences will be accommodated when possible, but rotation may be required to meet operational needs
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 18 months of permanent (staff) experience in step-down nursing prior to travel
• Step-down experience required; travel experience in specialty is accepted toward the 18-month minimum
• PCU/progressive care experience preferred but not required
• Must provide two professional references for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; acceptable scores on both are required to continue
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday
• Travelers may not exceed 18 consecutive months across any assignments at this health system's locations; a minimum 6-month break is required before starting a new assignment at any of the health system's facilities
