American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Orthopedic Med/Surg position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Orthopedic unit in a 562-bed, Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• 38-bed Orthopedic unit with float requirements to other Med/Surg departments as needed
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Charting via Cerner (experience preferred)
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required — pending licensure is not accepted
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• PICC line management and IV start skills required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Block scheduling is not available
• RTO requests should ideally not exceed 5 days for the duration of the contract
• Scrubs may be any solid color
• Free parking is available on-site with a permit obtained during orientation
