American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist with peripheral vascular and hybrid OR experience for a hospital OR position requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Details

• Hospital OR setting with a multi-service surgical environment
• Peripheral vascular and hybrid OR cases are the primary focus of this role
• First half of each shift involves providing breaks, lunches, and relief coverage across service lines including general surgery, robotics, colorectal, and orthopedics
• Experience required across a broad range of procedures including: abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), endovascular AAA, carotid endarterectomy, fem-pop/tib bypass, embolectomy, aortograms/fistulagrams, AV fistulas, AV grafts, TAH, TLH, vaginal hysterectomy, robotic cases, laparoscopic ectopic, D&C, laparoscopic cases, laparotomy, gastrectomy, liver resection, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, soft tissue (biopsy, hernia), ECMO (in PICU), Whipple, colectomy, abdominal perineal resection, anal cases, and PCNL
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 8:30 AM – 9:00 PM
• Peripheral vascular call required, including will-call availability

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of surgical technologist experience required
• Peripheral vascular and hybrid OR experience required
• Experience across multiple service lines including general surgery, robotics, colorectal, and orthopedics required
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification required
• License required if applicable
• Candidates must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• All BLS and other certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Upon accepting an assignment, the unit manager may assign travelers to an Emergency Team, which may require remaining at the facility during or after an emergency event or serving on a relief team — candidates uncomfortable with this expectation should not apply
• RTO requests must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
• All certifications must be current and valid at the time of consideration
