American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Urgent Care position in Alaska, requiring an active AK RN license at time of consideration and a minimum of 2 years of recent urgent care experience.

• Urgent care clinic setting within an ambulatory care environment
• Shifts vary across days and hours within urgent care hours of 8am–8pm
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active, full, and unrestricted Alaska RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of urgent care experience, with experience must be within the last 2 years
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Proof of flu vaccine required
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
• Fingerprint cards must be submitted promptly upon acceptance, as the start date will be no less than 5 weeks after fingerprint cards are received for processing

Additional Information

• Provide clinical services in collaboration with providers, clinic staff, and management to ensure quality care and efficient use of resources
• Responsible for overseeing opening and closing of provider clinics and maintaining medication inventory and supplies
• Performs Point of Care quality control checks and assists providers by anticipating patient care needs
• Communicates effectively across departments to serve as a resource for patients, providers, and fellow clinic staff
• Maintains annual competencies, certifications, and mandatory training; participates in staff meetings and in-services
• Maintains a clean, safe, and well-supplied work environment and reports safety hazards or defective equipment as needed
