American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for 12-hour night shifts at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, with a minimum of 1 year of MRI experience required.

Details

• Work in a large acute care teaching hospital designated as a Level I Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma center, with a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center
• Serves adults and pediatric patients from the ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatient settings across a full spectrum of radiology exams and diagnoses
• Average of 40–45 patients per day
• Uses Siemens 1.5T MRI magnets
• Epic EMR
• 12-hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• On-call is shared equitably across full-time, part-time, PRN, and travel staff based on team size
• No floating required
• Holiday coverage is expected unless time off is approved in advance by the manager

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience, with most recent experience within the last year
• ARRT(R) or NMTCB, and ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• BLS required
• License required if applicable
• Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude
• 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the past year required for consideration
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

• Performs MRI exams across a full spectrum of radiology diagnoses for both adult and pediatric populations
• Department is supported by a lead tech, modality supervisor, and Imaging Manager, with a diverse team ranging from new graduates to long-tenured staff
• Orientation includes a facility and departmental tour; 5-day departmental orientation, flexible based on traveler needs

• Former permanent employees of any AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
