Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU/Telemetry travel assignment requiring ACLS, BLS, and a minimum of 2 years of experience, with night shift scheduling and float responsibilities across multiple hospital campuses.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a multi-campus hospital system in New Jersey
• Float pool position covering both PCU and ICU; schedule originates from PCU
• May be required to float across up to 5 hospital campuses within the health system based on unit needs
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• Block scheduling is not permitted
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• PCU or telemetry nursing experience required
• Must be able to pass a Dysrhythmia competency test within 72 hours of signing — only 2 attempts allowed, and the test must be completed on a PC (not an iOS device)
• COVID-19 vaccine required — no exemptions
• Flu vaccine required — no exemptions
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide progressive care and telemetry nursing across PCU and ICU settings
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but receive a reduced travel pay rate
• All RTO (time off) requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration — RTO requests submitted after that will not be accepted
• First-time travelers are accepted but not preferred
• Failure to complete the Dysrhythmia test within the allotted timeframe or two failed attempts will result in contract cancellation and a Do Not Return (DNR) status with the health system
