Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR Circulator RN for a day-shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of full-time circulating experience, call availability, and TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital Operating Room with floating required to a Surgery Center in a circulating role as needed
• Performs circulating duties across a broad surgical scope, excluding cardiac, neurological, and spinal procedures
• Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• On-call required for nights, weekends, and holidays — including a minimum of 3 weekend days per month and 1 day per week
• Late shifts are mandatory
• Scrubs are provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of full-time OR circulating experience required
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• Primary responsibility is OR circulating with occasional float to a Surgery Center circulating role
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided experience requirements are met
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana; a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions — candidates should avoid any substances that could produce a positive result, including CBD products
