Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department travel assignment in Bemidji, MN, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and an active MN RN license.

Details

• Level III Trauma Emergency Department in an acute care hospital setting
• 15-bed ED with 4 fast track rooms and 1 triage area
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 to 1:4
• 12-hour night shifts with every 3rd weekend required
• Rotating day, evening, and night shifts possible
• Floating to Medical/Surgical unit as needed
• No on-call requirement
• EMR: Epic (training provided during orientation); Accudose also used on unit
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and TNCC — all must be active, no pending certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience required
• Experience in an ED with annual visit volume of 28,000 or higher preferred
• Trauma Level III or higher experience preferred
• BSN not required
• 2 professional references required: 1 supervisor reference from within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference from the same specialty within the last 3 years

• Implements the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, care planning, intervention, evaluation, and documentation
• Never works alone — team-based environment with no call responsibilities

• Candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility are eligible to apply but may be subject to a local bill rate adjustment
• An interview with the unit manager is required prior to an offer being extended
• 8-hour orientation provided
