Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position working nights with remote telemetry monitoring experience, requiring a MD or Compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a Cardiac Med/Surg Telemetry unit (3W) in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with primary or secondary cardiac diagnoses, primary stroke/TIA, and stable cardiac cath patients
• Remote telemetry monitoring performed via Hicuity System
• Specialty drips include Cardizem (non-titratable), Amiodarone, Heparin, Protonix, and Lasix
• Equipment used includes Zebra portable phones, Alaris IV pumps, and Covidien Feeding Pump
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within the specialty and to lower acuity units as needed
• No pre-scheduled on-call; low-census call-off is possible but rare

Requirements

• Active RN license for the state of Maryland (MD) or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

• First-time travelers with strong cardiac telemetry skills and experience will be considered
• Holiday coverage required as holidays fall on the assigned schedule
• 13-week contract
