American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Unit position requiring cardiac and stepdown/PCU experience on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Work in a 24-bed mixed Cardiovascular Unit (12 Step-Down and 12 Med-Surg beds) located in a newer hospital tower
• Patient population includes cardiac rehab, pre/post cardiac procedures, cardiac stabilizations, and med-surg cases
• Requires familiarity with chest tubes and IV drips
• Room monitors are present at bedside
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or compact eNLC)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Cardiac unit experience with stepdown/PCU experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Ability to interpret EKGs and monitor cardiac rhythms and rates
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, administering medications and IV infusions, collaborating with cardiac rehab, and supporting patient education and discharge planning
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary team members including cardiac rehab, patient education, and discharge planning staff
• After completing 26 weeks total (including any extension), candidates must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for another contract at this facility
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, and medical documentation) must begin immediately upon acceptance of an offer
