Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department assignment at a medical center in Iowa, requiring a valid Iowa or Compact RN license along with ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

Details

• Emergency Department (ED) setting at a small medical center
• This is a hybrid role covering both ED and Med/Surg patients — when an ED patient arrives, one of the two assigned RNs transitions to the ED side to provide care
• Average daily census (ADC) of 3 patients
• Night shift, 18:00–06:00
• Rotating schedule includes every 3rd Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Holiday rotation required — assignment will include at least one holiday

Requirements

• Active Iowa or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (or ENPC), NRP, TNCC, and NIHSS
• COVID vaccination card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Two RNs are assigned to cover Med/Surg patients; when an ED patient arrives, one RN shifts to the ED side to manage that patient's care
• Candidates located in Iowa may be eligible for local rates
