American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a medical center in Iowa, working night shifts with a hybrid ED/Med-Surg patient care model.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department with a hybrid ED and Med-Surg patient care model
• Two RNs cover Med-Surg patients, with one RN transitioning to the ED side when an emergency patient arrives
• Average daily census (ADC) of 3 patients
• Night shift: 18:00–06:30
• Schedule includes every 3rd Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Holiday rotation required, with at least one holiday covered during the assignment
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), PALS or ENPC, NRP, and TNCC
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of ED nursing experience required
• COVID vaccination documentation required for consideration
