Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a small community hospital in Iowa, requiring ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NRP with at least 1 year of ED experience.

Details

• Work setting is a small community hospital Emergency Department with cross-coverage to a Medical-Surgical unit
• RNs rotate between the ED and MS unit — when an ED patient arrives, one RN transitions to the ED side to manage that patient's care
• Average daily census (ADC) of 3, with 2 RNs covering MS patients at a time
• Day shift schedule: 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM
• Rotating schedule every 3rd Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (every other holiday rotation)
• Holiday coverage is required and will include at least 1 holiday during the assignment
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), PALS or ENPC, NRP, and TNCC
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of ED nursing experience required
• COVID vaccination documentation required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for providing care to both Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical patients depending on census and patient flow
