Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with strong orthopedic experience and on-call availability for a 13-week travel contract in Florida.

Details

• Hospital operating room setting with potential floating to sister campus OR units (all within 15-20 minutes of each other)
• Orthopedic surgical cases are a primary focus of this OR assignment
• Schedule is 4 days per week on 10-hour day shifts: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
• On-call is required as part of this assignment
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license (must be visible through Nursys)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Strong orthopedic surgical experience required
• Degree accreditation documentation required, or 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation documentation
• Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Two references required for consideration: one within the past year and one additional reference
• Full demographic information required for consideration, including full DOB and SSN

Additional Information

• Prior travel nursing experience is preferred
• Travelers will be the first to float and may be assigned to sister campuses
• Orientation begins on a Friday with remote orientation components; candidates must be present at the facility on that Friday for badge and ID processing
• Candidates must secure full-time housing in the area for the duration of the assignment — commuting from a permanent residence within the radius is not permitted
• Block scheduling requests are not accepted
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application and will not be accepted after an offer is made
