Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a CVICU position in California, requiring at least 1 year of travel experience with 6 months of continuous travel and a valid CA RN license.

Details

• CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit) setting within a hospital environment
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 13-week contract
• Must be available for a pre-placement interview
• Floating may be required to like units or lower acuity units across the organization (excluding the ED)
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week cycle
• At least one winter holiday shift required, including the associated holiday weekend

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications — all must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required, with at least 6 months of continuous travel experience between July 2025 and present
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Provide intensive cardiovascular nursing care to critically ill patients in the CVICU
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
