American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-acuity Cardiac ICU position at a heart transplant center, requiring ACLS certification and Epic experience.

Details

• High-acuity cardiac ICU at a heart transplant center specializing in cardiology critical care
• Patient population includes cardiogenic shock, decompensated heart failure, STEMI/NSTEMI, post cardiac arrest, TAVR, pulmonary hypertension, and pulmonary embolism
• Specialized procedures include pericardial drains/windows, targeted temperature management, and pacemaker placement
• Specialized equipment includes PA catheters, IABP, Impella, transvenous pacemakers, CRRT, EKOS catheters, and CADD pumps for Remodulin infusion
• 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
• Float requirement to other ICUs and SDUs
• Epic EMR experience is required

Requirements

• Active LA or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Prior cardiac ICU nursing experience required
• Experience with specialized cardiac equipment (PA catheters, IABP, Impella, CRRT, etc.) strongly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required

• Candidates must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted
