Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital, requiring at least 1 year of med/surg/cardiac telemetry experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a 97-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (block scheduling), 18:45–07:15
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Patient ratio of 1:4–5
• Cardiac and medical/surgical patient population
• Charts using Epic EMR (experience required)
• No on-call requirements
• May be required to float between two campuses (Belleville and Shiloh) or within the facility as needed

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required (pending IL license may be acceptable — please inquire)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of med/surg/cardiac telemetry nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Provides direct patient care including med/surg and cardiac nursing interventions
• Navy scrubs required
• No parking costs at this facility
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO is limited to 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may remain at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
