American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Coos Bay, OR, requiring ACLS/BLS certifications and experience in prep and recovery.

Details

• Position is based in a cardiac catheterization lab within an acute care hospital setting
• Performs specialized examinations including cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular studies, and/or electrophysiology studies
• 10-hour day shifts, 6:30am–4:30pm
• Weekend shifts required
• Weekend on-call required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OR RN license required (must be willing to obtain prior to start)
• Current AHA certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Acute care hospital experience within the past 5 years
• Experience in a prep and recovery area
• Current RN license (Standard or Compact)
• Skills checklist specific to Cath Lab required for consideration

Additional Information

• Conducts patient assessments and applies the nursing process within the Oregon State Board of Nursing scope of practice
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary/intra-procedure team to coordinate and ensure safe patient care
• Participates in Universal Protocol and site marking identification procedures
• Assists with patient identification, preparation, draping, and room setup for routine procedures
• Responsible for maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting specialized cardiac procedures equipment
• Serves as a lead resource for medical and clinical staff as needed
• Stays current with advancements in cardiovascular technology through ongoing education and professional development
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for this assignment
