American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Post Surgical Unit position requiring acute care surgical floor experience and Stepdown/PCU experience, with night shift availability.

Details

• Post Surgical Unit (4E) in an acute care hospital setting
• Patient population includes pre- and post-operative surgical patients, including some step-down level care
• Experience caring for patients with new drains, wounds, trachs, ostomies, NGTs, and DHTs is essential to this role
• Patient ratios are 5:1 for surgical patients and 3:1 for step-down patients
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OK state RN license or current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA certifications only accepted
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Acute care surgical floor experience required
• Stepdown/PCU experience required
• OR-only candidates will not be considered
• ADN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN preferred
• ENT and/or transplant experience preferred
• Full DOB and full SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include monitoring and documenting patient responses to nursing interventions, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, assisting with procedures, and coordinating discharge planning
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for a new contract (prior contracts may only be extended once, for a maximum total of 26 weeks)
