American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN with open heart OR experience and LVAD/Impella skills for a cardiovascular operating room travel contract in North Carolina.

Details

• Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting within a hospital environment
• Patient population includes open heart surgery cases such as CABG, mitral/tricuspid/aortic valve replacement and repair, aortic dissections, pericardial window, thoracotomies, and VATS
• Robotic experience in chest cases is preferred
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• On-call is required with a 30-minute response time (non-negotiable)
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• Scrub experience is strongly preferred

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Open heart OR experience is required
• ECMO experience required
• LVAD and Impella experience required
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• Two professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position unless they have open heart OR experience
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences is enforced
• 13-week contract
