American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring Level 1 trauma experience, 5 years of nursing experience, and 2 years of travel experience.

• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule
• 36 hours per week, 3x12-hour shifts

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA only), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience required
• Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Proficiency in nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Basic computer skills required
• Full Date of Birth (DOB) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Responsible for an assigned group of patients, including documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Administers medications, initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products, and obtains and monitors physiological patient data
• Assists physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Workers who have previously completed a contract at this facility may only extend once for a maximum of 26 total weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before returning for another contract
• Compliance requirements (drug screens, background checks, and medical requirements) must be initiated immediately upon acceptance of an offer
