American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Intermediate Care position requiring a minimum of 1 year of telemetry experience, Epic proficiency, and an active NY RN license.

Details

• Position is based in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), assigned to a float team
• 12-hour night shifts, scheduled Monday through Sunday
• Minimum of every other weekend required; schedule may be adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
• No block schedules allowed for any reason
• Patient care includes insulin drips, cardiac drips, IV starts, and post-cardiac cath monitoring
• Epic EMR is used; experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
• 4-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required; candidates with proof of a pending NY license will also be considered
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience required
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
• Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor are required — at least one from the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained

Additional Information

• This is an Interview-to-Offer (ITO) position
• Complete work history is required, including bed count, EMR, and facility type
• Public transportation is not accessible in this area; reliable personal or rental transportation is strongly recommended
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local; those living 51–100 miles away qualify for a mid-tier travel rate; distance is measured by straight line, not driving distance
• Vermont licensure is not required at time of submission; candidates who commit to the position must apply for VT licensure within 24 hours of commitment
