American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ER Holding Unit position at an academic medical center in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and night shift availability.

• ER Holding Unit within a large academic medical center in Ohio
• Treats a diverse patient population spanning pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• 13-week contract
• Epic EMR used for documentation

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Proficiency in telemetry and dysrhythmia management
• Experience with PCU/stepdown care
• Experience with IV insulin and heparin protocols
• Experience managing renal failure patients
• Skilled in cardiac and vasoactive drip management, including titration
• Experience with blood product administration
• Tracheostomy management experience
• Experience with non-invasive airway management (CPAP/BiPAP, oxygen therapy)
• Wound care and wound VAC experience
• Epic documentation experience
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial application
• No 30-day break between assignments is required when changing representation at this facility (except for Sterile Processing Techs)
