Description

American Traveler is seeking an LPN/LVN with behavioral health experience for an evening-shift travel assignment at a skilled nursing facility requiring Epic proficiency and de-escalation skills.

Details

• Work in a behavioral health unit within a skilled nursing facility (SNF)
• Average daily census of 20 patients with a 1:20 nurse-to-patient ratio on both weekdays and weekends
• Evening shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (14:00–22:00)
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Floating to other units required per facility need
• Epic EMR — experience preferred
• Skills include locked unit management, behavior management techniques, managing assaultive behavior, de-escalation protocols, blood glucose monitoring, intake and output monitoring, isolation precautions, specimen labeling, and vital sign monitoring

Requirements

• Current LPN or LVN license required — license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of LPN/LVN experience; 2 years preferred
• Behavioral health and/or SNF/nursing home experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
