American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg night shift position in New Mexico, welcoming first-time travelers with at least 1 year of experience and telemetry monitoring support.

Details

• Acute care hospital Med/Surg unit setting
• Patient population includes stroke and post-surgical patients
• Telemetry central monitoring tech support available 24/7 — nurses are not required to independently interpret dysrhythmias
• Night shift schedule: 18:30–07:00 (4x12-hour shifts)
• Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• Floating to other units is required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NM RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff of this facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• Scrubs may be any color, but logos are not permitted
• Up to 3 days of RTO may be approved; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
