American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN Circulator for a 13-week surgical contract requiring a minimum of 3 years of recent full-time CVOR experience and the ability to work independently in a high-volume cardiac, thoracic, and vascular OR setting.

Details

• Work in a high-volume CVOR service line performing routine and complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures
• Cardiac procedures include CABG, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, heart transplant, VAD placement, Impella/IABP placement, adult ECMO, and TAVR (performed in the endovascular OR)
• Thoracic cases include laparoscopic, robot-assisted, and open procedures
• Vascular procedures range from ESRD graft/fistula placement and revision to endovascular procedures
• Service line comprises 4–6 ORs including an endovascular suite, with capacity for four concurrent cardiopulmonary bypass procedures
• Schedule is 4 shifts per week, 0630–1700, weekdays based on department need
• Call coverage is required after normal business hours and on weekends
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• BLS certification required (must be AHA-issued)
• Minimum of 3 years of recent, full-time experience as a CVOR RN Circulator in a high-volume hospital setting
• Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures
• Verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed
• Must be able to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment with no extensive onboarding required
• Valid US Social Security Number and US home address required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Full SSN and full DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Circulate for complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases across a high-volume OR service line
• Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be subject to a reduced pay rate
• COVID vaccination is not required by this facility
• Two professional references required, submitted separately
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position — prior travel experience with verifiable references is required
