Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down (HVTI) unit position at a major hospital campus in Cleveland, OH, requiring at least 18 months of step-down experience and a day/night rotating schedule.

Details

• Step-down unit (HVTI-Stepdown) within a large academic hospital campus
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Day/night rotating shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Shifts may vary based on operational needs of the hospital

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact state RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 18 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in step-down or a closely related specialty prior to traveling
• Minimum 18 months of recent step-down experience (travel experience accepted)
• PCU/progressive care experience preferred but not required
• Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; acceptable scores on both are required to continue the assignment
• Must work at least every other holiday
• Travelers may not exceed 18 consecutive months at any Cleveland Clinic location; a minimum 6-month break is required before beginning another assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location
• Two professional references are required for consideration
